We want to create a pool of performers from which the cast of each episode can be drawn from

The series ‘492 Korna Klub’ focuses on an Afro Caribbean family deciding to return back home, after 50 years of life in the UK. They run a community centre in their spare time near to where they live in South London. Their forthcoming silver wedding anniversary plans to handover their possessions to their siblings’ leads to difficulties. Staff at the community centre are up in a peril organising activities and events for survival.

The series explores the themes of family, community and social and political injustices. It also offers to illustrate the solutions to unite and heal the problems that exist and blight that community.

We require a wide range of actors/voices in different ages, genders from diverse ethnic backgrounds for the on-going series.

There is no pay but we reward you with FREE TRAINING and being part of an innovative exciting project where you can develop and enhance your performance skills working alongside industry professionals.

Ideally people who can sustain different character voices and have strong improvisational skills would suit the project best.

LIVE Performances on the radio are always every Friday between 4.00pm – 6.00pm in Peckham South London.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE for the live performances on the radio

To be involved in the project, you will need to attend the "Meet & Greet" Workshop

Sunday 23rd April 11.00am - 4.30pm 5th Floor (Green Side) Royal Festival Hall South Bank Center Waterloo in London SE1 8XX https://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/visit/getting-here

The Meet & Greet workshop is design to:

• Get to know your skills and abilities
• Select performers who like the project and want to work with us
• Build a pool of performers we can draw on for future episodes
• Create characters for the series
• Introduce you to the company’s conventions formats, patterns and styles needed for Live Dramatic Improvisations on air

Principals guiding our work:

• Improvisation
Dramatic improvisation is a big house and lots of different things go on in there. The work we do is outside comedic improvisation. There will be certain conventions that we will use in this project that you need to be familiar with. We focus on a set of basic skills or aptitudes within improvisation for example Tension, Focus and Attitude
