Black Male ACTORS wanted for WEEKLY Radio Drama Soap Opera
We want to create a pool of performers from which the cast of each episode can be drawn from.
The series www.492kornaklub.com explores the themes of family, community and social and political injustices.
We reward you with copies of your episodic broadcasts and FREE Radio Acting TRAINING as well being part of an innovative exciting project where you can develop and enhance your performance skills working alongside industry professionals.
LIVE Performances on the radio are always every Friday between 4.00pm – 6.00pm in Queens Road Peckham SE15 South London.

To be involved in the project, you will need to attend the "Meet & Greet" Workshop on Sunday 16 July 11.00am - 3.30pm 5th Floor (Green Side) Royal Festival Hall South Bank Centre Waterloo in London SE1 8XX
The Meet & Greet workshop is design to:
• Get to know your skills and abilities
• Select performers who like the project and want to work with us
• Build a pool of performers we can draw on for future episodes
• Create characters for the series
• Introduce you to the company’s conventions formats, patterns and styles needed for Live Dramatic Improvisations on air
Principals guiding our work:
Dramatic improvisation is a big house and lots of different things go on in there. The work we do is outside comedic improvisation. There will be certain conventions that we will use in this project that you need to be familiar with. We focus on a set of basic skills or aptitudes within improvisation for example Tension, Focus and Attitude

Barrington SpenceRole Description
Barrington Spence; Caretaker cleaner 45 born and raised in the local area and has done lots of jobs before settling into this one. He’s constantly rushing around fixing/cleaning things. He wants to get the centre properly ‘fixed up’. He’s always interrupting meetings with news of the latest disaster (Leak in the bathroom, etc.) Barrington often wonders if he could have achieved more in life; he chose to stay in the local area to be near his two children (girls ages 19 & 22), after his divorce 10yrs ago. He lost a lot after the divorce; his home, his mechanics business, his self-esteem and a fulfilling relationship with his children. His children has now grown and left the area and he has been considering whether to take up the offer from his parents to take over the family business in Jamaica. His parents immigrated 7 years ago and each time he visits, they try to persuade him to stay. He is very fond of Patricia and has gotten to know her quite well. He has a good knowledge of the local area and the different groups who uses the centre.
